Pink again...

I apologize for taking so long to post our good news! Nate is pink again, and we got home from the hospital a week ago. He spent a week in the NICU, but the last night he was able to sleep in my room and the nurse just hiked down the hallway to check on him every few hours. It was literally a hike, about 1/4 mile from my room to the NICU! It was good motivation for me to get moving after the delivery, I guess. We have to get his blood checked every week for the next two months, and they expect that he'll need another transfusion before he starts making his own blood cells (at about 2-3 months). But, who knows, he hasn't done much that we predicted so far, so why start now??

Things at home are going fairly well. Kelly and Matt are a huge help with Caleb, Caleb wants me to put the baby back in his "cage" but he hasn't shown too much jealousy yet. I guess he figures, the dog sleeps in a cage, why shouldn't the other little creature... Jeremy and Caleb have been sick with a cold/flu, and Jeremy has bonus chest pain that sent us to the ER on Sunday night. However, it was WAY too crowded at the ER, and after waiting 45 minutes to register, he decided he was feeling well enough to survive until morning. Thankfully, by morning he was feeling much better, although still pretty weak and miserable. Hopefully in the next few days they will both be feeling a lot better!

Matt is playing baseball this spring/summer, as well as flag football. He likes baseball better, and is pretty darn good considering he's never played on a team before. Kelly is loving school, especially her art and home-ec class. She also spends a LOT of time taking pictures. I'm so glad, because she takes great photos, and spring is so beautiful here, that it's worth all the photos. Caleb has been going to preschool twice a week, and he L-O-V-E-S it (except for naptime). He's a social guy, so of course he likes going to see all the kids. He also loves playing with all of Grandma Connie's friends. He knows all their names, and his face lights up when they come over. It's pretty cute.

Here's some pics of our springtime fun...
