The Greatest Surprise EVER

So, last month we got the best surprise.  It had been in the works for a while, but we didn't find out until my mom and Aunt Patty called us on Skype.  This is how it went:
Mom: "Hey, guess where we're going tomorrow!"
Me: "Where?"
Mom: "Your house!! We fly out in the morning, we'll be there Wednesday!"
Me: (insert crying like a baby) "Whaaaaat???  That's AWESOME! Yaaaaayyyy!!! (more crying)"

So they came the same day that Jeremy and I flew out to Phuket.  And it was nice to have responsible people in charge of our kids while we were out of the country!  AND, while she was here she potty trained Caleb AND taught Nate to go to sleep by himself in his bed, AND almost got him to sleep through the night.  The Baby-Whisperer came to town and kicked some butt!

After we got back they also participated in lots of "fun" activities, however reluctant they were to get started :)  We went to a belated Indonesian Independence Day celebration (the real Independence Day fell during Ramadan when everyone was too tired/hungry to celebrate properly).  Patty walked on stilts and Mom ate a fried cracker hanging from a string.  She wasn't supposed to use her hands, but I think she used her fan a little.

Kelly and her spoon race buddy, Secilia.  Also one of our favorite people here.  She has a great sense of humor, which you need if you're going to hang around our family for very long...

Nate on a leash.  He kept wandering off.

Then we went to the zoo.  Caleb got his hair styled by a camel.

We pet some baby bearcats that were just hanging around near the elephants.  Jeremy says he's manhandling a wolverine, but really it's just a bearcat. A man can dream...
Patty narrowly avoided an elephant stampede!

Caleb tackled some dragons in the kids' area.

Nate didn't go to the zoo, so I threw in some extra pics of him so he won't get jealous once he learns to read.

Thanks for the great surprise!!
