Our great trip!

Here are some pics from our recent trip to the new island we're looking at as a final destination. Please remember us as we make this decision, it's a big one! We had a really good time on our survey trip, and learned a lot. We'll post more about it over the next few days so you can share in our fun times! The spiderweb-shaped rice fields you see are something unique to this island. It's a way they divide the property between families in the neighborhood. Every family owns one "stripe" of the field, and there's a village leader who manages the property as a whole. The last picture is a local "warung" where you can literally find everything from cement to seaweed flavored crackers to wedding dresses. You thought WalMart was diverse!
