Kelly and Matt decided to have a campout with their friends this weekend, as a kind of "good-bye" party, even though we don't have an official departure date yet. So we stocked up on candy and marshmallows, borrowed some tents, and went for it. It was so hot, I have a hard time believing that anyone had a good time, but they say they did. Matt grilled the burgers, and they were delicious. He's now known as the Grill Master around our house. (Too bad for him, because now he has to grill all the time!!) I was tempted to try to plan games, but was gently informed that they don't need their mommy to babysit them anymore. So instead, I bought ice cream. Lots of ice cream. And lots of toppings. It seemed to go over pretty well, but Caleb is still a little sticky a week later!
We are blessed for the kids to have really amazing friends who live right down the street from us. It has made the transitions a lot easier, believe it or not. Even better, they let Caleb hang out with them every once in a while, which makes him think he's pretty cool.
Nate skipped the campout, but had fun playing with his feet. We take them out of his sleeper so he can get his toes completely in his mouth. Check out those thighs!!
