Okay, I have photographic evidence that I have done something helpful in this country! This kid, Gilbert el Collin (which means "great man of God"), was born early and very anemic. The doctors said he would die without a transfusion within 2 days. He is one of less than 1% of Asians with Rh negative blood, and so finding a donor was nearly impossible. They tried all the blood banks in the big cities, and none of them had A- blood. The family (who are believers) had given up the search and were calling friends asking them to pray for a miracle. They called one friend who called another friend who called the guy that was camping with Jeremy to ask them to pray for God to do a miracle. And Jeremy said, "Hey, Andi has that kind of blood, go to my house and tell her to give you some!" So that's how I saved a baby's life. I dodged the questions about being pregnant and they let me donate for Gilbert. Now he's healthy and almost a month old, and we have a great relationship with his parents. Isn't God smart-no blood for Gilbert in the whole country except for mine, and I live right down the street!
It's kind of ironic that my blood is trying to kill my own baby, but it can save this one!
