The last time we were in the capital I got a new lens for my birthday. I still don't know how to use it very well, but this is a first attempt. The weird hairy looking thing is a fruit that's called "rambutan" meaning "lots of hair." In an episode of Ugly Betty they were called Tiko berries. I like them a lot, and they grow on a tree outside our bedroom window. They taste kind of like a grape but sweeter and juicier. You can tell if the rambutan is ready to eat by checking for ants. If there's lots of ants crawling on it, that means it's sweet. Then you give it to Caleb to beat on the side of the house, and after all the ants are beaten off, you peel it and eat it. The skin is really tough and thick, so we use a knife to get it started.
The other photos were also taken with the new lens- I think they're funny.
