We went to Bali, it was tons of fun. Jeremy's sister, Laurel, and her husband, Matt, and baby, Ryan came to visit for 10 days. We spent half the time on Bali, then the other half on our island. Highlights of the trip were: feeding monkeys (and not getting rabies! Bonus!), surfing, Ryan's first swim in the ocean, Taman Safari where we rode camels, held an orangutan, petted a cockatoo, petted a baby tiger, and went to the water park. Jeremy and Matt Jones went parasailing, but then the wind died down before the rest of us could go. When we came for a visit two years ago, Jeremy tried to parasail, but the wind was so low that he never went up, he just skipped along the surface of the water. All the locals (and a few tourists) were cheering for him when he'd get off the water, and then when he sunk they yelled, "Nooooo! Too fat!" So he felt better to make it in the air this time. Poor Matt Jones wasn't so lucky, and spent several minutes of his ride trying to stay out of the water. Everyone enjoyed surfing a lot, and all got up on the board at some point. I (Andi) stayed in the room with the babies during naptime, and avoided what I'm sure would have been severe public humiliation. We ate the Hard Rock, which might have been my favorite part of the trip. I got a beef brisket sandwich with crispy onions, and it was so good it brought tears to my eyes. Very rarely do I eat something and think, "This tastes like HOME!" It was delicious! All in all it was a great time! So now that you've seen all the fun we have here, don't you want to come visit???
