"Well, you're very interesting, aren't you?"

This is the kind of statement you want someone to make on a first date, or an important job interview. Not so much when you're describing medical problems and making a plan to give birth in a foreign country...
Here's another one I'm not fond of, which I also heard yesterday: "Well, you have another problem..." It's not a big problem, just a low-lying placenta which means no hard work or heavy lifting. Oh darn!
SO after much ado, I've given blood and paid tons of money to have it expressly examined at the "best hospital in Singapore." Sadly, that's a different hospital than where my doctor is located. The blood tests will be ready Monday afternoon, when we will meet again and make a plan for further treatment. The very thorough ultrasound showed that the baby is healthy, I even saw his/her little heart valves opening and closing, which was way cool. He/she was kicking and sucking it's thumb.
In other news, Jeremy and the kids are making their way by train and plane to the other side of the country, where I will meet them on Tuesday. Today they're meeting up with some friends and maybe going to the zoo, but definitely eating at Tony Roma's. Tonight they'll fly to our new island and try to get the lay of the land tomorrow.
We'll keep you posted on all our adventures! Thanks for staying with us through all this!

I had forgotten what a wonderful writer you are! Andi's Asian Adventures is sure to be #1 on the New York Times best Sellers list if you ever write it. I would buy it!
