Good news, friends! We have passed Unit 2 and are on our way to Unit 3 of language school! Between units were have a 4 day break, which we used to travel to Borobudur temple with some friends. We learned a lot about the history of Buddhism, how to beat off the many, many hawkers that accost you on the way to the entrance, and how to deal with the crowds of teenagers who want to take their pictures with the white people! Jeremy had a line of Jr. High girls waiting for him! Our guide told us that the Borobudur Buddhas are "much sexier" than the Chinese Buddhas, but I'm not sure if she felt Jeremy improved the look of these headless Buddhas or not! (Sidenote- I was there too, but my pic didn't load!)
